Maybe not. 1999 had to have a slower pace and filler because it couldn't out pace the manga at the time. If it had a completed CA arc to animate, it might not have had a slower pace. The light and the gore were perfect in the 2011 version of the Chimera Ant arc.
The Hunter x Hunter main characters have quite straightforward height and weight stats, although there are a few characters with unknown height and weight stats as well.
